Today I thought about going to the gym for some AMT, or hitting Bodypump, but a friend invited my kids and I over to her place to swim. We went and ended up staying for a long time. Swimming with two small children almost counts as a workout itself, but I guess it’s more of a mental workout than physical.
She suggested we go for a bike ride. She had two bikes and two bike trailers, so we loaded the kids up and rode for 30 minutes. I did a little over 6 miles. It wasn’t a super long ride, so I tried to find some hard hills to hit so that I was still challenging myself.
I also did my 3.5 minutes of plank and 100 pushups app. Today was the first day that I literally did 100 pushups! Also, regarding the May plank challenge, is everyone doing the yoga plank or forearm plank? I’ve been doing forearm plank. I wonder which is harder.
Tomorrow I really am going to Bodypump.
I did more yoga (yesterday) for day 60. I think my body needs a bit of a break from yoga, or I had an off day. My balance was off a bit. I did practice a headstand at the end. It’s coming!! Being brief because I’ve got to get 4y/o to swimming lessons.
Today is a new month, so new measurements will be done, a new weigh in, and a new monthly challenge! Stay tuned!
I think I’ll run with the local running club this evening. I haven’t done a lot of cardio lately.
Nothing much exciting to say about today. I took my 4y/o to swimming lessons, then we swung by the gym. I did 30 minutes of moderate effort on the elliptical, and two times through the upper body circuit.
My sister is in town and doing move365 with me, so we’ll be hitting the gym together tomorrow.
This evening we went to a beer tasting event at Whole Foods. It was fantastic. We tasted 6 beers, got free pizza and a goodie bag to take home.
