I got up and ran a 5k this morning. It was in my town and the local running club was going. I did it in 32:47. Not my best but not bad for me. Now I’m waiting in line to pick up my Bountiful Baskets produce co-op.
The 3 miles I did today takes my monthly challenge up to 30 out of 50 miles. That give me 9 days to run 20 miles. 2.22 miles a day.
I went to Bodypump today, a friend joined me too. It was just fine. I upped my weight for chest, back and lunges. I’m in between weights for biceps. A 5 is too light but a 5 and a 2.5 is a bit too heavy. I need a 6, haha. The front of my right shoulder hurt when I was doing tricep dips, so I had to cut those short.
After that, we volunteered to help unload the produce for our produce co-op, which was another workout in itself! Most of the boxes weighed at least 20-30 pounds. I got a headache toward the end, but a stop at Starbucks helped.
I’ve got corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots in the crock pot for dinner, and a few fun beers. We spent the rest of the day doing laundry and switching the kids’ clothes out for new sizes/seasons. Fun stuff! Tomorrow, trampoline and a birthday party.
Bountiful Baskets organic basket from today. Celery, green leaf lettuce, cabbage, strawberries, snow peas, cucumber, bok choy, ambrosia apples, tomatoes, bananas, onions, oranges (one got eaten on the ride home).
I’m not gonna lie, I love organics but I was envious of the conventional basket today. It looked AMAZING, and it was HUGE, and $10 cheaper than the organic.
Deliciousness from my Bountiful Baskets food co-op. I got the organic basket, the Italian pack and the organic heirloom tomatoes. I plan on making tomato sauce with the tomatoes and Italian pack!
I don’t have a ton to blog about Bodypump workouts. I did up my weight today on a few things. I still suck at lunges but I’m getting better. I get all confused by the step forward into a lunge ones.
After Bodypump, I went to pick up my co-op produce. The truck was late so I ended up volunteering to help unload and distribute everything when it arrived. So I added some lifting of 40lb boxes of bananas to my lifting today too.
Tomorrow, trampoline! I missed last week because of the scavenger race. This week, a friend is joining me. Whee!
Bountiful Baskets goodies from today. I got the organic basket, the tropical pack, the guacamole pack and a gallon of organic evoo. Let’s see if I can list everything. Strawberries, D’anjou pears, cilantro, mint, avocados, plantain, yellow onion, lemons, jalepenos, key limes, mangos, garlic, roma tomatoes, oranges, celeriac, coconut, vanilla beans, bag of apples, bag of oranges, romaine lettuce, green onions, broccoli, Lacinato kale, Asian pear, pineapple, EVOO.
Greenling delivery. This was Greenling’s first week delivering to my area and I was lucky enough to get a free local box. It has spinach, tender greens (looks like maybe kale?), baby arugula, mustard greens, grapefruit, oranges, brussels sprouts, rutabaga, crimini mushrooms, cabbage, green onion. It looks great and it’s all local.
Dinner. Tropical fruit salad. Mango, kiwi, pineapple, tangerine, fresh coconut, fresh mint, with fresh lime juice squeezed on top! All from my Bountiful Baskets produce co-op.
